Engine Company Operations

District 2 operates two engines from the station.  Engines 57-1 & 57-2 's primary function is to attack fire and provide the water supply needed for attack operations.

Truck Company Operations

Performing truck company operations is significantly different from engine company.  Tower 57 operates to facilitate the districts truck company functions to search and rescue victims in the area near and above the fire, with emphasis on rescue of victims and ventilation to remove toxic gases and heat, thereby allowing better visibility for attack crews.

Tanker Company Operations

Tanker 57-4 provides a unique function at District 2.  Certain areas of our town do not have fire hydrants.  It has the ability to bring 3,500 gallons of water to the fire scene and dump the load into its portable ground tank in less than 90 seconds.  It is also equipped with pre-connected hose to enable initial attack of fire on arrival.
