Communications

Monroe Township Fire District No. 2 utilizes a Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Motorola Type II Trunked System for radio communications while in the Township.  This system is shared by various agencies such as Police, EMS, Utilities Authority, Road Department, etc.  During calls for mutual aid, Station 57 operates on the Very High Frequency (VHF) band with neighboring departments after initial dispatch.

All Monroe Township Fire Districts are dispatched by the Police Department on a VHF frequency of 154.4300 with a DPL 565.  Mercer and Monmouth County dispatch centers can also dispatch Station 57 due to the mutual aid areas covered by District No. 2.
