The firehouse located at 10 Halsey Reed Road is closed to the public. We must implement these measures in order to keep the first responders as safe as possible. Our number one priority is to preserve the continuity of service to the community.  Operations will continue, but facilities are now restricted to emergency personnel only.

For any residents or real estate agents with pending appointments, all previously scheduled inspections are canceled. Moving forward,  the fire official has approved the use of a temporary self inspection protocol from March 16, 2020 through April 15, 2020 and has waived all fees.  The form must be completed, notarized, and emailed to fireofficial@station57.org Should you have any questions, please call 609-395-6830.

All scheduled in-person meetings are canceled. The district will utilize virtual meetings whenever necessary. Monthly public meetings will be hosted via the platform Zoom. The next public meeting will be held virtually at 7pm on April 15, 2020.  Details on joining the meeting can be found by clicking on the event title in the calendar.  Printable instructions can also be found here. The meetings will be recorded and posted to this site after completion.

We understand that during this national crisis, orders and directives given by local and state officials can be frustrating and feel very restrictive, but they are for the greater good. Some temporary inconveniences now can potentially save us from overloading our healthcare system. Please do your part and be sure to follow the stay at home order issued by Governor Murphy.

Monroe has seen some tough days recently. The only certainty right now is that there will be more challenges to face ahead before things get better. We can only promise that we will face them together. Please know that we have the best and most highly trained emergency responders ready and willing to protect us all to the best of their abilities.

Stay Safe,

Jason P. Martin, Commissioner
